Friar

Friars are different from monks in that they are called to live the evangelical counsels (vows of poverty, chastity and obedience) in service to society, rather than through cloistered asceticism and devotion. Whereas monks live in a self-sufficient community, friars work among laypeople and are supported by donations or other charitable support.

The Friar told of a game technique known as Role Playing.

Becky Herr-Stephenson and Jessica K. Parker write about this (and more) in the article "Role-Playing-Stephenson & Parker"(RP.pdf) that you can read and write up with the subject "Role-Playing" under the Pilgrimage topic at the Discussion Tab on your Adventurer's Log for up to 10 XPs.
